Arai Corsair-X Vinales-6 Unisex-Adult Motorcycle Helmet

The Corsair-X Helmet, engineered by Arai, has taken helmet technology and rider protection to the next level. Designed to minimize the forces of "glancing off" impacts, the helmet not only guards against direct impacts but also redirects impact energy rather than absorbing it, decreasing the amount of force transferred to the body.

To increase the potential to glance off impact energy, the VAS (Variable Axis System) side pod and pivot cover are smaller in size and positioned lower on the shell. The helmet is constructed from Super Fiber and other special synthetic fibers developed for F-1 helmet visor panels, assembled and bonded by Arai experts. The specially-developed resin creates stronger bonds between shell materials with less weight, and the shell has superb tensile strength due to a variety of carefully-positioned materials and lightweight resin.

The Corsair-X Helmet is DOT Approved and meets FMVSS 218 Standards. The VAS (Variable Axis System) shield and side pods are exclusive to this model, with the variable axis (moving pivot point) allowing the shield mount position to be lower than most helmets. The dual-function lever releases both the side pod and the face shield for quick and simple face shield removal, securely capturing and holding the face shield closed. It also provides a de-mist position to slightly crack the shield open. The larger latch design allows for intuitive and seamless operation.

The VAS MAX Vision shield is standard, providing better visibility in all seasons and for all types of riding, and comes with a clear anti-fog Pinlock insert. Normally, the shield mounting position must remain relatively high because a lower shield pivot will not allow the shield to open or close. However, the VAS (Variable Axis System)'s variable axis (moving pivot point) allows shield opening and closing even with the lower shield position.
